Expert workplace menopause interventions.
Bridging the gap between wellbeing initiatives and business performance with real world data
Our services
We go beyond awareness to action with measurable results.
We offer targeted interventions, where employee symptoms and the impact on their work is measured, and re-measured, demonstrating tangible improvements in employee wellbeing and business outcomes.
We ask the employees to complete a menopause at work impact questionnaire before our support, and two months thereafter so we can monitor the benefit of the consultations.
Individual consultations
Individual consultations with a British Menopause Society accredited advanced menopause specialist is the gold standard in menopause care. Each consultation is a full hour of time with an expert. Pre- questionnaires and registration forms completed by the employee provide the background information for the consultation to flow from. Individually suitable, holistic, evidence-based treatments are discussed and medications can be prescribed privately. The private prescriptions and consultation notes are provided for the employee to purchase or discuss with their NHS provider. Follow up consultations for 30 minutes, or 15 minute check-ins are also possible for continuity of care.
Menopause Consultancy
From April 2026, employers with more than 250 employees are being encouraged to publish Menopause Action Plans. This can feel overwhelming, but we are here to help. We can provide clear guidance and support writing this plan. Menopause care is our expertise.
Webinars and in house talks
We can work with you to provide educational events for your employees, creating a culture of openness and normalising the conversation about menopause.
Book your introductory call
Schedule a ‘workplace menopause support introductory call’ with our clinical director Dr Lorraine Kemp using the link. She will find out more about your company’s needs.
We can either schedule a group consultation for up to five women lasting 2 hours at a suitable time, or individual consultations as required.
We require your employees to complete the pre-questionnaire, and registration form. For group consultations the participants will also need to complete a confidentiality agreement prior to the meeting. For CQC compliance we need them to upload a copy of their ID. For private prescriptions, we also need an up to date blood pressure reading. Most pharmacies and GP waiting rooms have access to blood pressure checks.
For telemedicine appointments please ensure good internet connection and privacy before connecting to the video consultation.
Dr Lorraine Kemp
Dr Lorraine Kemp, MBBS BSc MRCGP, is the founder and clinical director of Coastal GP Menopause Consultancy. She is a friendly and approachable GP working within the NHS and private sectors. Dr Kemp has over 18 years of experience. Her recent roles have included being Clinical Lead for a local district general hospital’s Urgent Treatment Centre, and working for four years as an online private GP for a leading private medical insurer. She continues to work in the NHS as a GP in surgery, at the hospital, and also working alongside her paramedic colleagues as a senior decision maker; assisting in patient pathways after being assessed by paramedics.
Her medical degree and bachelor of science were awarded from Imperial College London in 2008. Her postgraduate training was in Emergency Medicine and General Practice. She has been running a successful private aesthetic medicine clinic since 2018. In this role her clients spoke often about their menopause, and she realised the inequalities in menopause care they suffered. Her passion for menopause care was confounded by her own early menopause. She holds regular talks, and works with businesses supporting women in the workplace,

We use a company called Thriva. We can order the test, you set up an account with them and pay directly. They send you a kit to take the blood from a finger prick, with instructions and then you post it back to them. They give us the result to release to you. If you struggle to take the finger prick test you can contact them to book in with a phlebotomist at a Superdrug store (costs £40 extra) or they can arrange a phlebotomist to take a venous blood sample from you at home (costs £50 extra). The samples are posted back to them and they process the results within 48 hours. You pay them directly for the test. We can also write to your NHS GP with our suggested plan and they may be able to arrange the tests on the NHS.

If you require more information, you can email your query. Email communication is strictly reserved for administration and not for medical advice. If a catch up appointment is needed this requires a further GP appointment and fee. A catch up consultation is included with an initial menopause consultation.

We can write a private prescription if it is appropriate. You will be emailed a code that can be used in the pharmacy of your choice. The prescription is issued as part of the consultation fee. The pharmacist will charge you for the private prescription medicine cost and this is not available through NHS prepayment cards. Our prescribing policy has your safety in mind, so please do check it before booking to ensure we can help you. There is a cost at the pharmacy for private prescriptions. Any repeat prescriptions outside of the consultation have a charge of £30 plus the pharmacy cost of the medication. This service is only available for registered patients who have had a consultation within 12 months.
If you prefer an NHS prescription we can write to your NHS GP with our treatment recommendations. NHS prescriptions for HRT are best paid for with a prescription prepayment card. Please see the link: https://www.gov.uk/get-a-ppc/hrt-ppc

We prescribe regulated Body Identical HRT (sometimes called regulated Bio Identical HRT). This is made from plants and is identical in structure to the hormones of the body. All the hormone treatments that we prescribe are regulated and licensed so we know that they are safe and effective. We do not prescribe compounded Bioidentical hormones which are not regulated and are not recommended by the British Menopause Society.

Most private medical insurance companies do not cover private GP appointments so it is best to check directly with your insurer first. You would need to pay for your use of our services, and potentially claim back from the insurer but please check as we are not in contact with your insurer. You may have cover for onwards referrals and investigations requested by us.

Absolutely. Children under the age of 16 will need a parent present during the appointment. We are happy to assess children online, but please be aware if they are acutely unwell with febrile illnesses or signs of dehydration then we will suggest they are assessed face to face by seeing your NHS GP or contacting 111. This service should not be in place of a face to face assessment for unwell children as they do often require thorough examination.
-
No, it is definitely best to stay registered or register with an NHS GP as there may be referrals or examinations best processed through the NHS. You can stay registered and I can send a copy of your consultation to your NHS GP.

We can help your HR teams support workers who are experiencing menopausal and peri menopausal symptoms by providing a webinar explaining about those symptoms and the potential impact on the workplace. We can provide in-house talks and a Q&A with a top employment lawyer to give your team the tools to navigate these issues. Our webinar could form part of your menopause policy and show your commitment to supporting your team.

Our webinars are educational and empowering. They can explain all about the challenges of menopause and peri-menopause, how the symptoms can impact on the workplace and our top tips. We can also have talks with specialist psychologists about coping with the mental health impact of the menopause.

The Women & Equalities Committee of the House of Commons has published its response to an independent report proposing various changes to employment law and practice to help women going through menopause:(https://protect-eu.mimecast.com/s/fAu6C31R3cmG1gOcq8Yzk).
Most of the recommendations are not going to be adopted by the Government. The recommendations included producing model menopause policies for employers. It has also declined to commission a pilot with a large national employer on ‘menopause leave’, and it declined to amend the Equality Act 2010 to introduce a new protected characteristic of menopause, or introduce a new duty to make reasonable adjustments for menopausal employees. This does seem to us to be a missed opportunity.
However, the Government is supporting one proposal: introducing a national ‘Menopause Employment Champion’ to produce a report every six months on the progress made to support those going through the menopause.
